How POTSAudit Works

Three steps from bill to report in under a minute.

1

Upload your phone bill

Drag and drop your carrier bill - we support AT&T, Verizon, Lumen, and most other carriers in PDF, CSV, or Excel format. We extract every phone number from the bill automatically.

Your bill is never stored after analysis is complete.

2

We look up every line by wire center

Using the NPA-NXX (first 6 digits of each phone number), we identify which AT&T wire center serves that number. This is more reliable than address-based lookup since phone numbers directly map to wire centers.

We cross-reference each wire center against AT&T's copper retirement filings to determine status:

  • Retired - service has already ended
  • Retirement imminent - within 90 days
  • Scheduled - retirement date set, over 90 days out
  • Notice filed - retirement process started, no date yet
  • Not listed - no retirement filing found
3

Classify line types and get replacement options

We identify what device each number connects to - fire alarm panel, elevator phone, fax, security system, or other. For unknown lines, we walk you through three resolution steps:

  1. Guided questions about the line's usage and location
  2. Photo upload - AI vision classifies the device
  3. Field inspection checklist PDF to give to your maintenance team

For each at-risk line, you get a side-by-side comparison of replacement options (Ooma AirDial, Alarm.com CopperLink, VoIP alternatives) with current pricing.
